Art Express
Session 2: July 8-12
Offered at: Camp Green Eyrie*,Camp Hickory Hill*, Camp Lewis Perkins*

Entering Grades 1-3
Paint, draw, color, glue, glitter, and more!  Come out to camp this week where you’ll do at least one arts and crafts project each day.  Make art you can wear and even some you can eat!  On Friday you’ll get your face painted and participate in an art gallery show.

Entering Grades 4-8
Sculpt, design, and screen print too!  Sculpt with real clay and create designs in leather.  Learn the lost arts of knitting and sewing… and create something plush for your room at home. You’ll work on your projects throughout the week and display them at Friday’s art gallery show.

Fantasy Camp
Session 3: July 15-19

Entering Grades 1-3
Discover where the fairies of camp hide.  You’ll use a magnifying glass to track the fairy dust through camp, build fairy houses, and learn the importance of all critters, big and small! Design your own fairy costume in arts and crafts and have a sparkling lunch at the waterfront to explore underwater fairies. 

Entering Grades 4-8
Do you have a hard time putting down your books about wizards, dragons, or magic? Perhaps you’re a Harry Potter or The Hobbit fan? This is the week for you.  Join other girls who like all things magical.  Make your own wand to cast spells, learn a real magic trick or two, and help plan the end of the week Magical Ball for all of camp!

Go Cook
Session 4: July 22-26

Entering Grades 1-3
Want to cook a chocolate cake over the campfire? Do you like to play with your food at the dinner table, but always get in trouble for it?  Have you ever eaten gooey, tasty “dirt”?  At camp, you’ll create snacks and desserts AND get to play with your food.  You’ll learn about some important stuff, too, like creating healthy habits.  

Entering Grades 4-8
Roasting marshmallows is just the beginning! Create a three course meal over the campfire for you and your fellow campers to enjoy this week. Box oven pizzas, mountain pies, or Dutch Oven stew? You choose the menu while learning about food groups, campfire etiquette, and super foods.

Artsy Smartsy
Session 5: July 29-August 2

Entering Grades 1-3
Explore the art found in nature! Create leaf rubbings and acorn maracas, make a nature walk bracelet, and more!  This week you’ll do arts and crafts to the max and get to explore all the secret spots of camp for your inspiration.  

Entering Grades 4-8 
Did you know you can make a funky bowl out of an old record? Try it this week at camp! Turn an old t-shirt into a new fashion trend, make homemade paper in a blender, and create a fancy water bottle holder out of an old pair of jeans. Art can start anywhere!  This week you’ll explore how to make art out of found or recycled items.

Camp Bonanza
Session 6: August 5-9

Entering Grades 1-3
First time camper? Want to experience a little bit
of everything during your week at camp?  Swim, craft, sing, create a skit, play TONS of games, roast
marshmallows for s’mores, and don’t forget your white t-shirt to tie-dye on Thursday!

Entering Grades 4-8
Come get the classic camp experience this week while swimming, boating, playing capture the flag, tie-dying, AND trying your hand at archery out on the range.  Have a sing-off with fellow campers as you try to sing every song in camp!  One day you’ll have a cookout lunch over the campfire, complete with banana boats, apple bombs, or shaggy dogs---you choose!

Day Camp Teen Leadership Programs

Program Aide
For girls entering Grades 6-8

Sign up for this leadership opportunity and work toward earning your Program Aide award.  You will learn how to work with children in and out of camp, and then get a chance to put those skills into action while working with younger campers. In one session participants will complete their first two steps towards becoming a PA:  Earn a “Leader in Action” award and Program Aide Core Training.  Sign up for more than one session if you’d like to work toward completing your final requirement of working with a group of younger Girl Scouts for six activity sessions. Before the week is over you’ll will have the chance to swim, cookout, craft, and more!

The Camp Apprentice I and II programs are for girls entering grades 9-12 who have previous experience working with children and/or have earned their “Program Aide” award prior to arriving at camp. Camp Apprentices make a valuable contribution to the camp community while building their own leadership skills. Girls in both Camp Apprentice I and II programs will spend the first half of the week learning the ins and outs of working with younger girls at camp.  The second half of the week will be spent working directly with girls.  If girls sign up for more than one session, they may have the opportunity to assist counselors starting on Monday, depending upon their skill level.  Camp Apprentice II participants may elect to assist in specialty areas at camp like arts and crafts or the waterfront. 

Camp Apprentice I and II are only available at:
           Camp Hickory Hill          (Sessions 2,3)
           Camp Laurel Wood       (Sessions 4-6)
           Camp Lewis Perkins     (Sessions 2-6)

All interested girls must submit an application and will participate in an interview process.
