Fork It Over Springfield Debut a Sweet (and Savory!) Success

Fork It Over - ScallopOn June 22, thirteen chefs from the greater Springfield area accepted the Fork It Over challenge: create desserts and appetizers using Girl Scout Cookies as inspiration. Over 200 members of the community gathered at Pazzo Ristorante for the tasty debut, including Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and Carlos Gonzalez, President of the MA Latino Chamber of Commerce, who also served as a guest judge for the evening. Attendees sampled Squash Ravioli with Sage and Trefoil Crumble, Tagalong Cannolis and Thank You Berry Munch Chicken and Shrimp. Savory winners were Pazzo’s Minted Lamb “Lollipops” and La Cucina’s Lemon Chalet Crusted Sea Scallops. Onyx Fusion took home the Sweet award for its Thin Mint Ricotta Chocolate Cheesecake with Pazzo’s All Out Girl Scout Parfait accepting runner-up. Sponsors for the event included Wolf and Company, P.C., St. Germain Investment Management, Monson Savings Bank, Lawson, Marino & Bertera Insurance Agency, Little Brownie Bakers, Ashdon Farms/QSP, Chicopee Savings Bank, Cumberland Farms, Inc., Easthampton Savings Bank, GDA Consultants, Hampden Bank, Miracle Method of Western MA. In the end, Fork It Over truly is the most delicious way to support Girl Scouts!
