There are Many Ways to Be a Girl Scout

Between school, sports, music, church groups, and hanging out with friends, your schedule is packed. But don’t worry… Girl Scouts can still fit in. We’ve created six different ways you can participate - some last all year, some last just a few weeks. Some take you across the neighborhood, some across the county. And the best part is… you get to decide! Choose one, two or all of them – plus you can change them up every year.

Camp - Whether you’re a lifelong camper or want to experience the out-of-doors for the first time, this is for you! Spend a week at summer day and overnight camps, enjoy a one-day or weekend camping event, or just have other fun outdoor experiences.

Events - If you want to attend lots of different one-day or weekend events, this is the option for you. Select from over 300 events offered by Girl Scouts and our Community Program Partners. For information about programs for your age level, click one of these links:

Troop - Do you like the idea of meeting with the same group of girls each week? Then the troop pathway is for you. Troops are groups of girls the same age who meet regularly (once a week, every other week or monthly). Each group decides what they want to do, but it could include working on Try-Its/Badges/Interest Projects, Journeys and other awards, planning camping trips, taking part in the Cookie Sale, or anything else they can think of.

Travel - For those of you who love to visit new places, the Travel pathway is a perfect option. Take part in the planning and fund raising, and then enjoy a trip around the state, around the country, or around the world. Click here for information about upcoming trips that you can join in on.

Virtual - Do you speak in TTYLs and BRBs? Do you love playing on the computer and hanging out in cyber-space? Then the virtual pathway might be the right fit. This interactive Girl Scout option takes places in a safe, secure online environment and is supplemented with in-person events. Our first semi-virtual series is our Go Girls! Bowling League.
