What is a Camporee?
A Camporee is a local or regional gathering of Girl Scout troops or groups for camping and activities. This overnight camping experience will allow girls and volunteers from across Girl Scouts of Central and Western MA to come together to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scout camping and outdoor exploration. The event will include exciting activities such as outdoor skills, team relays, reading the night sky, sing-a-longs, and much more!
Where will it be held?
Our Camporee will be held at Camp Lewis Perkins, a GSCWM camp in South Hadley. This location is a short 15-minute drive from the Mullins Center at UMass Amherst, where our "Big Event" will be taking place. The site has cabins and tent camping space, restrooms, wash stations and plenty of room for our activities. Cabin priority will be given to Daisies and those who require special accomodations.
Who can attend?

Troops must be accompanied by a qualified First Aider and an adult who has completed Outdoor Overnight Training completion of Indoor Overnight Training AND the 2012 Camporee Training Module can substitute for Outdoor Overnight Training for this event only).
