PAWS for Safety

Place: Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, Springfield
Cost: $15 per girl; adults free

PAWS for Safety is a bite prevention program that will help you learn to stay safe around animals. Learn how to greet other peoples’ pets, how animals communicate, when to stay away from an animal and more! You’ll also take a tour of the Dakin Humane Society Springfield Education & Adoption Center and meet and spend time with friendly animals. Meets most of the requirements for the Brownie Pet Badge and and is a great complement to the Daisy 3 Cheers for Animals Journey. Badges are not included in the cost of the program but can be purchased at any GSCWM store. Event is open to troops and girls with an adult.

Exploring Art at the Fitchburg Art Museum

Cost: $10 per girl; $3 per adult

Do you ever wonder what it was like to live 5,000 years ago in Egypt? Come discover Ancient Egypt, see real tomb treasures, hold replicas of ancient artifacts and learn what everyday life was like along the Nile River. Travel with a tour guide in our interactive Ancient Egyptian gallery, then create an Egyptian studio art project to take home. Program also includes a guided tour with an art activity of the special exhibition Contemporary New England Latino Art and time to explore the galleries on your own. Bring a bag lunch. Cartoon Party and Sleepover

Join Interskate 91 for this cartoonthemed skating party and sleepover! There’s skating until midnight, Limbo, scooter races, tug-o-war, a midnight movie, food and snacks, indoor playground, live and in-person characters, a roller skating patch, and of course, sleeping! As a bonus, troops have the opportunity to return on a future weekend to sell cookies! Register early, space is limited and this event will fill fast! Friends for Life

International Festival and Ecumenical Service

Space Expo 2015

Discover and explore our universe! Meet astronauts, aerospace engineers and scientists. Come join us and be a superhero duo! Learn how to be like Green Arrow on the archery range. Test your Batman and Robin agility on the sports field. Superhero makers at Camp Green Eyrie

Date: Sat-Sun, May 30-31, 2015

Place: Camp Green Eyrie, Harvard
Cost: $55 per girl; $55 per adult

For girls and women only! Superheroes rely on their super technology! This weekend you’ll test out your inner innovator. During the day learn new skills to help create the tool that will help you save the day on your next adventure! After dinner you’ll have a chance to create your new items and share them at a Makers Fair on Sunday. There will still be time to enjoy a mix of adventurous activities like boating and archery, too! Come with your troop or bring your mom, aunt, grandmother or another female adult and join us for a super wild time at camp! Girls and adults may be able to stay in the same cabin or tent together or may be asked to have “girl only” and “adult only” cabins or tents in the same living area, dependent upon enrollment. Housing assignments will be finalized after registration has ended. You may request a building (with indoor bathrooms) for an additional fee of $3.00 per person; space is limited so register for this option early! Open to troops and girls with an adult.

Daisy Museum Adventure

Date: Saturday, June 6, 2015

Place: Springfield Museum, Springfield
Cost: $15 per girl; $7 per adult

At this exciting evening program, Daisies will be invited to explore the museum, participate in games and demonstrations, have a pizza party and receive a participation patch. Free and secure parking is available. Open to troops and girls with an adult.

Wild Women Weekend

Date: Saturday-Sunday, June 6-7, 2015

Place: Camp Bonnie Brae, E. Otis
Cost: $55 per girl; $55 per adult

For girls and women only! Join us for this STEM weekend where you’ll explore the science of camp. You’ll be able to choose from bird or tree identifi cation, the science of baking, meteorology, wetlands exploration and more! But don’t worry, your favorite camp activities haven’t gone away; we’ll have boating, songs and games, arts and crafts, too! Come with your troop or bring your mom, aunt, grandmother or another adult female and join us for a wild time at camp! Girls and adults may be able to stay in the same cabin together or may be asked to have “girl only” and “adult only” cabins in the same living area, dependant upon enrollment. Girl Scout Day at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival

Calling all dance lovers! Immerse yourself in a full day of dance at the longest-running international dance festival in the United States: Jacob’s Pillow, nestled in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts. Whether you are a first time visitor or past attendee, join us for our 3rd Annual Girl Scout Day.  Enjoy a personal guided historical tour, explore the dance Archives, watch videos of past performances, and view the photographs and artifacts on exhibition. Attend an optional ticketed performance of professional dancers from across the world in the historic Ted Shawn Theatre or intimate Doris Duke Theatre. To end the event-filled day, spread out your blanket, unpack your picnic dinner, and enjoy a free performance featuring students of The School at Jacob’s Pillow Ballet Program on the breathtaking outdoor stage. Earn Jacob’s Pillow Dance Fun Patch. Additional activities and programming to be determined.

Taste of Camp

Place: Camp Green Eyrie, Harvard
Cost: $25 per girl; $10 per adult

Come with your troop and have a taste of camp. Spend the morning at the archery range, then join the rest of camp in the dining hall for lunch. In the afternoon you will have time for swimming, arts and crafts, songs and games. Girls will also work on the Brownie Fair Play Badge. Open to troops and girls with an adult.
