Day Camp

day camp photoGirl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts operates five day camps throughout central and western Massachusetts. . Girl Scout camp offers girls entering grades 1-12 a unique experience to make new friends and master new skills in a safe, secure, outdoor environment alongside experienced, professional staff. Through girl-centered programs, each girl lives and plays in a community where her voice is heard and valued. Girls make decisions about their experience and help build a safe place to create friendships and try new things. Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts welcomes all girls to share in the fabulous summer programs offered. We look forward to sharing the wonders of summer camp with your child!

Day Camp2010 Camp Fees

Entering Grades 1-6: $220/week
Entering Grades 7-8: $220/week
Entering Grades 9-10 $120/week
Entering Grades 11-12 Fee Waived

Bussing is included in the camp price. Additional fees apply to special "add-on" programs.

Day Camp Locations

A Typical Day at Day Camp
Day Camp programs vary based on the weekly theme, program topics, age level, and girl interest. In addition to the activities listed below, campers will participate in a weekly campfire snack and an all-camp event.

9:00 am Bus Arrival and Camper Drop-Off
9:10 am Welcome and Morning Circle
Songs, skits, all-camp game, and daily announcements
9:30 am Get-Movin'
This morning activity time may include boating, archery, sports, games, or other team building challenges.
10:20 am Small Group Time
In a group of 6-8 girls (depending on your age), you’ll participate in team building games and other activities based on the week's theme.
11:10 am Swimming
12:05 pm Lunch and Quiet Activity Stations
1:00 pm Nature and Science Activities
1:50 pm Age Group Activity Time
2-3 small groups will join together for fabulous weekly-themed activities.
2:40 pm Arts & Crafts
3:30 pm Small Group Wrap-Up
3:45 pm All-Camp Games, Songs, and Closing Circle
4:30 pm Bus Departure and Camper Pick-up

 

Transportation

Bus transportation is included in the registration fee. Buses run from points throughout Central and Western Massachusetts. If you’d like your camper to ride the bus to day camp, you must indicate this on the registration form. Parents/guardians are responsible for transporting campers to and from a bus stop or to camp. Two adult counselors will be on each bus to check in and supervise campers. Details about bus procedures and directions to camp will be included in your child’s confirmation packet. Buddies

day camp tent photoCamp is sometime more fun with a friend. Your camper may request to be with one “buddy” in the same group. We will place your child with her buddy whenever possible. Both buddies must be in the same grade and must request to be placed in the same group.
