Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts is pleased to be able to honor women throughout the region at our 2009 Women of Distinction event. Each Woman of Distinction personifies the purpose of the Girl Scout Movement and is personally committed to making the world a better place for the girls of today and tomorrow. The honorees are chosen based on their contributions to the community, both professionally and personally,as well as the example they set for our Girl Scouts. Many of these women have reached remarkable levels of achievement as business, philanthropic, government, education and community leaders. They serve as an inspiration to girls to become self-confident, resourceful and dedicated community members.

The Women of Distinction event is designed to recognize women who, by consistent and effective use of their resources and talent, have shown commitment, creative approach, outstanding leadership, inspiration, and tangible accomplishments. This year, we are honoring women who have taken action, demonstrated leadership, inspired those around them, and are Champions of Challenge!
