Who are You? How do people know who you are? How do you speak, look, and present yourself so others know who you are and what you’re about? During this lively, interactive program teen girls will explore the important link that personal and technical communication skills have to leadership skills. Girls will discuss the key role of video communication, participate in a mock newscast in a TV Studio and do hands-on activities to learn effective communication skills from dynamic college students and faculty. Brownies Through the Years Travel back in time and learn about Brownies in the 1920s, 1950s, and 1960s! Learn about the music they listened to, the games they played, the clothing and hairstyles they wore, and what was important to them. Earn the Brownie Girl Scouts Through the Years Try-It. Bring "nosebag lunch" (brown bag lunch). Dress in period costume if you wish! (optional). This event is presented by the Leeds GS Museum Committee. Details:
Register online, or complete the GSCWM registration form and mail it to the address listed on the form. Girl Power on the Hill: A Statewide Legislative Celebration Get smart! This special program about girls’ power in democracy includes workshops on the legislative process and leadership; a tour of the State House and a special luncheon. You will have the opportunity to debate a bill on the House floor. This exciting event will show you how to use your power to make a difference in your community. This program occurs during April vacation week. Girls are welcome to register and attend on their own. Additionally we may be arranging transportation from western and central Massachusetts if there is enough interest. The cost for transportation will be an additional $25/person. We will decide the exact pick-up location once girls have registered in order to make the locations as convenient as possible. Extended Travel Training So you want to go to Disney World, or one of the World Centers in England or Switzerland! If you are planning a trip of 3 nights or more this is the place to get the tools to select your destination, create a timeline to plan your trip, determine travel methods to use, establish an itinerary, develop a budget and determine how to finance the trip. GSUSA’s Global Travel Toolkit is the main resource for this training. Details:

Projects include taking down tents, cots, waterfront, and general camp cleanup. Come for a few hours or the entire day. Lunch is provided. RSVP by calling 800-462-9100. Earn $1 Busy Bee Dollar per volunteer - good towards camp rental. Want to make a full day of it? Stick around to participate in archery or take a hike around camp! Details:
To register: RSVP by calling 800-462-9100. Girl Scout Day at the Worcester Tornadoes Come cheer on the Worcester Tornadoes baseball team at Hanover Park at Fitton Field. Join “Twister” on his birthday and meet other mascots from the area who are coming to help him celebrate! Arrive by 1:30pm to join in the Girl Scout parade around the field before the game (bring a banner or troop flag if you like). The first 200 girls to purchase tickets will receive a Tornadoes patch! Optional pre-game barbecue buffet w/ box seat ticket package is available for $25/adult and $18/kids 12 and under. Details:

Family Fun Weekend Don't leave anyone at home for this trip to camp - all family members are welcome. Join us for a weekend of fun camp activities - swimming, boating, and arts and crafts are just the start! Your family will have its own tent or cabin.
