Community First Aid and CPR
When your troop is ready to venture out from your regular meeting place, often times you are required to have an adult with you who is certified in First Aid and CPR. Activities that might require a first aider include day trips, hikes, sleepovers, and camping trips. Refer to Safety-Wise for more information on when and where a first aider is required.

GSCWM has an on-going relationship with one provider of first aid and CPR courses. We have recently added another. You will find a few courses listed here. In addition, volunteers may take first aid training through an area Red Cross office, the National Safety Council, local emergency services, hospitals, fire or other rescue services. Paying for an adult in the troop to become a certified first aider is a valid troop expense. Financial Assistance is available.

National Safety Council
A $45 fee is required for the trainings below. To register for National Safety Council trainings, call 508-864-2366 or e-mail darcy@safetytrainers.com.
