Online Leadership Essentials Training Option
To take the GSUSA Online Leadership Essentials: (Please read ALL instructions before clicking the web link for this training.)
- go to http://training.girlscouts.org/
- You will need to scroll down the webpage to the bold title “Leadership Essentials”
- Click on “English” under the training title “Leadership Essentials” (The speakers for your computer will need to be turned on.)
- Type in the word “discover” as your password.
- At the upper right hand corner of the training screen click on “Learning Log” to enter your contact information and to begin your Learning Log.
- Once you have completed all of the required information for your learning log, minimize your learning log. You will need to access it periodically during the training session to answer the questions when directed.
- It is important that you DO NOT close the Learning Log until you have completed all of the questions.
- Return to the Introduction screen to begin the training by clicking the “Next” button on the left hand side of the web page.
- This training takes about 45 minutes to complete. You will not be able to exit the training and return to finish at a later time.
- When you have completed the training and entered your answers to all of the questions in the Learning Log, click the “Submit” button ONLY ONE TIME. Clicking it more than once will cause your answers to be entered into the database multiple times.
- We recommend that you print out your Learning Log before submitting. In case something goes awry with the submission, you will have documentation that you have completed the training. (You may find that it doesn’t all print out. If so, hit the print button, scroll down to the next section, print that section, scroll and print again until you have the entire document.)
