Equal Opportunity and Inclusion
Girl Scout organizations have a long tradition of inclusion and diversity that dates back even before laws were passed to level the playing field for all people. GSCWM is an equal opportunity employer and specifically welcomes and encourages all applicants for employment and strives to reflect the diversity of the communities that we serve.
It is our policy to practice equal employment opportunity in accordance with regulations and our values. GSCWM does not discriminate against any person because of his/her race, color, national origin, creed, ethnicity, ancestry, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation (which shall exclude individuals whose sexual orientation involves minor children as a sex object), disability, genetic information, veteran or military service status, or marital status in the provision of, or access to services, employment or activities. GSCWM is committed to providing equal access to persons with a disability. These practices are done in accordance with applicable federal and state law including but not limited to: Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (as amended); the Americans with Disability Act (as amended); the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended); Article 114of the Massachusetts Constitution; Chapter 151 B and 272, Section 92, 98 and 98A of the Massachusetts General Laws and Executive Orders 227, 246, and 253.
Growth is our business. For us, a great work environment is one where we excel individually and collectively in accomplishing our goals; we have the right balance of challenge and support to do our work and we can enjoy working together more often than not. Adaptability that includes advancing our individual skills and perspective is a continuous part of working at GSCWM.
Girl Scout Membership
As a membership organization, GSCWM places high value on Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) membership. We require our full-time year-round employees to maintain annual membership with GSUSA, and as a benefit, we will cover the annual expense. We encourage all employees to enjoy the privilege of being a part of a worldwide leadership organization, and invite seasonal or part-time employees, to establish their own membership with GSUSA, although it is not a requirement.
