MASSACHUSETTS — The Girl Scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts are launching a large food drive across the region.
The drive will be in honor of the late Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA. GSCWM is encouraging Girl Scouts, troop leaders, and caregivers to connect with their local food bank, pantry, or meal center to learn about what's most needed and take action.
GSCWM also said that community members can participate by dropping off non-perishable food items at either the Holyoke Leadership Center, 301 Kelly Way, or the Worcester Leadership Center, 115 Century Dr.
A special participation patch will be given to those who donate.
"It’s a timely reminder that Girl Scouts aren’t just selling cookies; they’re building the next generation of community leaders who step up when times are tough," said GSCWM.
